About Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW)
Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) is 8 km south-west of the Old Town, so transfers between them don't take long. SKM suburban trains (lines S2 & S3) run every 15 minutes from the station beneath the terminal and reach Śródmieście in about 22 minutes for 4.40 PLN. Bus routes 175, 188, 148 and the night N32 follow the same corridor, while a licensed taxi costs roughly 50 PLN.
The entire operation fits neatly into modern Terminal A. Inside you'll find 23 self-service check-in kiosks and two security zones—plan to arrive two hours before a European flight and three for long-haul.
Unlimited, registration-free Wi-Fi is throughout the building, perfect for downloading boarding passes or streaming while you wait!
Facilities are excellent for an airport of this size: 49 AED defibrillators, a 24-hour pharmacy, showers, luggage storage and even an on-site desk where you can pick up an EU Health Insurance Card.
